World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The item upgrade lets players increase the gear rating of an item by up to 700 points and add a bonus. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory and heading to the kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading because of their distinctive stats. (For example, a perfectly rolled breakpoint armor used in melee PvP). Other items, like weapons don't really change after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth the effort.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can increase their numerical stats, including attack damage, crit probability and PvE/PvP damage. They also have a flat bonus that increases the damage they deal per second. Additionally some weapons come with a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon is present on a single unit. In some instances, this bonus could amount to more than the amount of damage that a weapon is able to upgrade on its own.
The cost of upgrading a weapon depends on its rarity as well as its current level. For instance, a +2 weapon requires two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will continue increase until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the amount will be reset to one.
The upgrade of weapons can also change their base stats. This is usually a good factor, but it could also have negative effects. Upgrades can make items impossible to use, unless you are very lucky.
Armor items can also be upgraded to improve their performance. In the case of chests or helms, this will increase the defense of its base, while gloves and belts will improve their required strength and dexterity. Armor has a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it may reduce its value.
The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats it will gain upon upgrading along with the relative value of those stats. This means that a change from an 8 attack-damage sword to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in a weapon gaining 3% of attack damage. The 3% doesn't mean that the weapon will hit three times less, since it is an absolute number.
Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button in the item menu using the circling arrows. item upgrader will reroll an item and change its statistics, but not reset the weapon's level or bind it to account status.
Armor
A few armor upgrades can make the world of difference to your survival. Certain sets provide massive increases in poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, which makes it easier to navigate through tough terrain. Generally speaking, the more defense your character is, the more value you get from every point of health you have and it's crucial to upgrade your armor as much as possible.
To upgrade your armor, head to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains in the game and in order to unlock each one you must complete an additional quest involving the Stable Trotters. Once you've done the main side quest and mastered the corresponding fountain and then you can contact any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrade menu.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels, and the amount of materials and Rupees needed for each level will differ. In general, you're looking at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent upgrade. The Champion Leathers, for example can be upgraded to a 5 defense rating, which allows you to remain competitive in cold environments with a large number of adversaries. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other side, can be upgraded to +20 defense so that you can survive a raid with friends.
Note that armor can't be upgraded in the same way as weapons, so you'll want to work on upgrading it for physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power if you're a Mage. You should also save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you will still be wearing at the end of the story, such as the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you wear in the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can gain some benefits to your armor. You'll typically want to keep these upgrades to the weapon that you'll use to beat the game. For example, the Longsword or Battleaxe. However, it's beneficial to have a few upgrades to the chest armor and helmets to allow you to sneak around some monsters.
Potions
Potions are bottled substances that, when consumed give the user an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five types of potions, each with specific effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to enhance their effectiveness. Additionally the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust to them.
Potion upgrades cost a specific amount of XP, which can be earned by making them on a table or the Alchemist's chest. The cost of upgrading varies based on the type of potion as well as the item's Rarity and Mark Level.
To upgrade a potions simply right-click on it in your inventory. Then select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open a GUI that lets you select the potion you would like to upgrade and the amount of experience they will provide when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.
When a poton is upgraded, it will not degrade unless you make use of it again or break the bottle within which it is kept. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to rename it.
Version 1.7.2 brought a few changes to the way potions are used. Splash potions, for instance, now have a duration that is 0:08 instead of 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display of the item. The potion table is constructed from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It is now able to be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Unlike the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions can't be used in cauldrons. This is the same for using a potion in the cauldron that is filled. This will deplete the potion and refill the bottle.
There are also simmering potions that are made using splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone can be added to lingering potions to enhance their effect. The potion table has been rearranged to appear more like the Java Edition. New potions are also added, such as the potion of leaping as well as decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket can be described as a small and affordable ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also refer to a small ornament or object that serves a purpose, but isn't important such as a Thimble. In certain traditions, trinkets are used to symbolize affection or friendship, specifically between family members.
Trinkets can be upgraded by players in addition to weapons and armor, as well as potions. They can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. Unlike other item upgrades trinkets, trinkets can be traded out at any time without losing their status.

Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of each zone and in some cases in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased with gold, tokens or fragments of a rare trinket.
The upgrade of a trinket can be an economical alternative to buying new ones. One can upgrade a trinket for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will come with the same base ilvl of the old one, and will have an additional 1% upgrade bonus.
Once the old Trinkets are no longer useful they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded between players and are a viable alternative to gold.
Players should upgrade their most important items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are first upgraded, followed by their secondary gear and other equipment that they won't replace anytime soon (such as an earring or a cloak). Players should also take into consideration their class's preferred stats when choosing which items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to a tank player then they should consider upgrading their chest, helm and shoulders.
Trinkets can be re-upgraded to a higher ilvl once they no longer have value and the new trinket will have an additional upgrade bonus of 1. Re-upgrading will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it is salvaged with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, yet is still cheaper than purchasing a new one.
